Romberg® brand PMMA production expansion project completed and put into production in Shanghai

On October 17, ROHM Group announced that its polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) expansion project was completed and put into operation, becoming an important milestone in the development of ROHM’s growth strategy. China is the world’s largest MMA and PMMA market. In the 1990s, ROHM began to supply PLEXIGLAS® brand molding compounds to the Chinese market. In 2008, ROHM built its first factory in Shanghai and began producing PMMA to provide more timely and reliable services to local customers. “Our business is growing steadily,” said Ling Hongen, president of ROHM Asia. “As customers and markets in China are growing, we are also continuing to expand production capacity.”
